Billie-Marie was born and raised just outside of in Boston, Massachusetts, and spent a large part of her childhood on Martha’s Vineyard. She then moved west and attended Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado and graduated with a BA in business management with an emphasis in marketing and minoring in Spanish and French.
After undergrad Billie-Marie moved further west and settled in Las Vegas. Her first professional job was with a local builder, working her way up to Director of Human Resources for what became the 3rd largest REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) in the nation. During this time Billie-Marie went to graduate school at UNLV and earner her MBA in the Spring of 1997.
In 1998 Billie-Marie was accepted to the William S. Boyd School of Law as part of the Charter Class, graduating in 2001. During law school, Billie-Marie externed for Judge Rawlinson, first with the United States District Court for the District of Nevada and then with the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. After graduating from law school, Billie-Marie clerked twice for Judge Rawlinson, followed by a career in complex litigation, focusing on mass torts, primarily in the area of products liability. Billie-Marie now focuses the majority of her practice on personal injury, workers’ compensation, products liability and mass torts.
Billie-Marie is licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada, as well as in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Billie-Marie is a member of, and on the Board of Governors for The Nevada Justice Association, a member of The American Justice Associates, the Clark County Bar Association, the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys, the Las Vegas Women’s Chamber of Commerce and WILG (Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group). She also taught as an adjunct professor at Community College of Southern Nevada in Administrative Law and at the William S. Boyd School in the area of workers’ compensation. Billie-Marie is also a selected member of Super Lawyers.
